This peaceful house encourages outdoor life, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the countryside to the sea beyond. It sleeps 6 people and is the perfect choice for family or friends looking for a relaxed holiday.
On the side of a hill, the house is accessed from above. Stone steps lead down to the main terrace, which is furnished with deck chairs and a café-style table and chairs, ideal for a cup of coffee whilst admiring the gorgeous surroundings. The terrace leads inside to the main living area and into the kitchen, via the back door.
The interior of the house is simply and comfortably furnished, with fresh tiled floors throughout. The corner living room is blessed with dual-aspect French windows. One set opens onto the first terrace and the other onto a smaller open-air dining area, furnished with a table, chairs and BBQ. The views from this terrace are spectacular.
Back inside, the living room has a sofa, armchair, attractive corner fireplace and a large flat-screen TV. There is also a smaller dining table and chairs. The separate kitchen is off the main living area. It is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and kettle.
There are green terraced areas where you can find quiet spots to relax.

Location
The promontory of Monte Argentario is known for its exceptionally mild climate. Surrounded by sea, it is connected to the mainland by a causeway and a man-made isthmus. Argentario’s unique landscape offers wonderful hiking and cycling routes through the lush Mediterranean scrub, with panoramic views. However, the area’s main attractions are the unspoiled coves and beaches around the promontory. Some have sunbeds and cafés others, such as Cala del Gesso (20 minutes) and Cala Grande (22 minutes), are off the beaten track and so quieter. The closest beach, La Soda, is just a 3-minute drive.
There are two towns in Argentario. Porto Santo Stefano (10 minutes) is a popular resort. From here you can catch a boat to the island of Giglio which makes a great day trip. The town has all the amenities you need and hosts a weekly market every Tuesday. Here you can find the freshest local ingredients to cook at home. Monday is market day in Porto Ercole (13 minutes), the other town in Argentario.
To the south of Monte Argentario, Porto Ercole is considered to be one of the prettiest towns in Italy. Narrow lanes lead to it Medieval centre and the Church of Sant’Erasmo, where you will find the tombs of former Spanish rulers. Both towns have a wide range of excellent restaurants to suit all budgets.
For more active guests there are several diving centres around Argentario, as well as sailing schools and charter companies offering fishing or day cruises. There is also Argentario Golf Club (13 minutes) for a round of golf in breathtaking surroundings.
The closest airport is Rome Fiumicino, a 1 hour 45 minute drive away.
